Weakening of The Rupiah Exchange Rate | News Anchor

 I got the assignment to make a News Anchor video, the topic I chose was economics regarding the reasons for the recent of weakening rupiah exchange rate.

Indonesian Minister of Finance, Sri Mulyani, revealed the cause of the recent weakening of the rupiah exchange rate. She said that the fall in the rupiah exchange rate against the US dollar was due to pressure by the global situation. The pressure also comes from economic turmoil in the United States. She believes that is possible for the US benchmark rate to continue to rise, in order to reduce high inflation. 


Meanwhile, the rupiah exchange rate against the US dollar closed lower. Based on Bisnis.Com data quoted on Wednesday, November 7 2023, the Rupiah closed down 0.62% or 97 points to a level of IDR 15,636 per US dollar in today's trading. 


Then Sri Mulyani say, the government will continue to monitor the weakening of the rupiah against the US dollar.
