Hi guys! i will tell you about what i learn in English Material - Tour Guide today. I learned to practice speaking and also learned to ask questions and answers, from there we had the task of creating dialogue according to our text. And this is the result of my dialogue text.

"Semarang Tours"


Hello everyone! my name is Gabriel Aurelia Nabilla, you can call me Gabriel. Im your Tour Guide in this trip. On behalf of Valvasa Tours I'd like to welcome you all to Semarang. We will visit two destinations, started in Old City and then Lawang Sewu. I will briefly explain the schedule and destinations we will visit. But before that, I ask you to sit comfortably and avoid eating or drinking in the bus. Thank you for agreeing. Because I want to explain briefly, is there anything you all want to ask first?


Question :

Excuse me, Gabriel. can i ask what can we do there?


Nice question. I promise you are going to enjoy your stay in Semarang City. This is a beautiful, historic city where you can relax, enjoy the atmosphere and view of the old building, try a lots of delicious typical culinary delight and feel very safe. You can walk to see the history of these old buildings and capture moments such as taking photos or taking videos. However, in some places there are prohibitions on entering or touching items carelessly. So please obey, for your own good. Any other question?


Question :

Me! I want to ask something about what we will find in Semarang Old City and what's Lawang Sewu?


Okay, thanks for your question. First of all, I want to introduce you all to Old City. Old City is a cultural heritage area where there are many old and historic buildings that are hundreds of years old. In there, you can find many old buildings but still look beautiful. The iconic building is the Blenduk Church. Then the second destination is Lawang Sewu, Lawang Sewu in English means "thousand doors", because the building has many doors. Lawang Sewu is a historic building belonging to P.T Kereta Api Indonesia which is now a museum which presents various collections from the past of railways in Indonesia. 


Question :

Are we going to do anything else apart from those 2 destinations? for example, eat something typical in Semarang.


Oh, right! Apart from these 2 destinations, our last day in Semarang will be visiting the culinary center. There are many typical Semarang foods such as Lumpia, Wingko Babat, and others. Thanks for your attention guys, we're going to be pulling up to the Tentrem Hotel in just a few minutes. So, please sit back and enjoy the vacation.

Tour Guide, A tour guide (U.S.) or a tourist guide (European) is a person who provides assistance, information on cultural, historical and contemporary heritage to people on organized sightseeing and individual clients at educational establishments, religious and historical sites such as; museums, and at various venues of tourist attraction resorts. Tour guides also take clients on outdoor guided trips. These trips include hiking, whitewater rafting, mountaineering, alpine climbing, rock climbing, ski and snowboarding in the backcountry, fishing, and biking.


A. SPEAKING

Speaking is an interactive process where information is shared, and if necessary, acted upon by the listener. Speaking has 4 aspects of assessment.

1. Pronounciation (Pengucapan)

2. Intonation (Intonasi/Nada)

3. Clearness (Kejelasan)

4. Fluent (Fasih)


B. ANALYZE

There are many foreign words that are difficult to pronounce in the text that has been given, I will give some examples : 

1. Familia*riz*e = Membiasakan 

2. Pre*co*ution = Pencegahan

3. Moon*lit* = Terang Bulan (cahaya bulan)

4. B*ea*ch = Pantai


C. WRITTING 

After reading and finding difficult words, we created our own text using a template that had been given by the teacher. And then we Made dialogue text too.
